Growing Kazakhstan’s Recycling Network: 5 Million Recyclables Collected

Sparklo is continuing to grow its recycling network in Kazakhstan through its collaboration with Zhasyl Damu JSC, a government-backed organisation supporting the country’s environmental agenda and circular economy development.

Together with Zhasyl Damu JSC and local partners, Sparklo is expanding access to convenient recycling infrastructure across the country. Today, 46 Sparklomats are operating in Kazakhstan, with more than 100,000 registered users. The network has collected over 5 million plastic bottles and aluminium cans so far.

This collaboration also supports the goals of Taza Kazakhstan, the national initiative focused on a cleaner environment and greater public participation in environmental action. We are proud to work alongside partners in Kazakhstan who are helping build a more accessible recycling system, and we look forward to expanding the network together.
