Sparklo and Grandiose Expand Retail Recycling Across the UAE

Sparklo is extending its partnership with Grandiose, one of the UAE’s leading retail brands, together with strategic partner Emicool. The goal is simple: make recycling easier and more accessible across the UAE by bringing smart recycling solutions directly into everyday retail spaces.

Since May 2024, the impact of our partnership has been impressive:

• Installed 10 Sparklomats in Grandiose stores across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, collecting over 4.7 million plastic bottles.
• Diverted 113 tonnes of plastic from waste streams and avoided more than 715,000 kg of CO₂ emissions.
• Engaged over 11,500 registered users, with some machines collecting more than 5,000 bottles per day.

Recycling is becoming a natural part of everyday shopping. This collaboration shows how smart recycling in high-traffic retail locations can drive measurable environmental impact. Sparklo, Grandiose, and Emicool are supporting the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals while advancing the circular economy and making sustainable habits simple and rewarding for everyone.
